It’s hardly a timeless design, but it’s held up almost a decade and a half later. The interior is another matter, but it’s an honest little truck.

This particular example is sporting a bit of a squat. But it’s Conway, so Squat + Yeti Cooler + Crokies, and boat shoes are pretty much standard.

I had a 2001 4 door SEV6, I liked the front before the redesign. It was great, I only sold it because I left Hawaii. It shifted like a car, I would have kept it forever.

If we’re talking Conway, you can’t rule out 19 year old white kids chugging Natural Light whilst screaming, “Make America Great Again,” at the top of their lungs. Perhaps also some bigoted language, just for good measure.

I’ve always thought the “fasteners” on the wheel arches make this truck look like a plaything though, honest truck or not.

I’d DD this minus the squat.

My mom has one of the previous generation (D21) that has proven resistant to death. Our most recent attempt involved teaching my oldest how to drive a manual. Country roads and small trucks are the perfect combination for learning that skill.

That being said, I hate the rear doors on the D22. They seem like a good idea and they look functional, but anyone larger than a 10-year-old can’t enter or exit through that door without scraping a knee or contorting enough to qualify for Cirque du Soleil.

I agree. I don't really MIND the squat, especially since its so subtle, but it's not really to my taste.

I guess ... comparatively. That’s sorta like saying that this 357 magnum is subtle compared to an AK-47.

I guess I don't hate the idea of a front biased rake, especially with factory wheels and a good set of tires, but I prefer a level appearance over anything. I can certainly see how this would disagree with most people's design preferences.

To each their own for sure. I wouldn’t be a lifted or lowered vehicle either.

I always thought the doors were a carry over from the D21:

(That one even has the base model bed which is the same one used in the D21)

Could be. I wouldn’t know. My mom’s is a single-cab.

If they are carry-over from the D21, then I will assume that those sucked too.

It needs to be yellow.
